Your pitch

Each pitch is equipped with the following as standard and part of your pitch price - we don't charge extra for what we consider essential 'must haves' for a camping holiday and saving you much needed space in the car:

fire pit

bbq grill for the fire pit

picnic bench

Hay bale sofa (weather and availability dependent)

Private compost toilet

plenty of loo roll

hand sanitiser

Toilets

We pride ourselves in having quirky and squeaky clean compost toilets, one private toilet per pitch. The toilets are located on your pitch with trees and shrubs surrounding them. Compost toilets are really easy to use and do not smell if used correctly. You will receive information on how to use them.

Showers

We have two hot showers on site complete with a changing area. Glamping tents have a private shower each. Our showers are LPG GAS run to remain as eco as possible. They can sometimes be affected by weather but on the whole are excellent and super hot. The shower room roof is transparent letting in natural light and sunshine making for a great shower under the blue sky.

We are a wild meadow field and working farm, if you expect or like a large shower block with 10 showers then we are not the campsite for you. More showers means more waste water and a larger impact on the field and environment, we are a small site and spend a lot of time making sure the facilities we do have are top notch and squeaky clean. You can see pics below.

Washing up area & drinking water

The washing up area is covered and has a large sink for washing items and is located at the shower area. We have a hot water tap for washing up and a cold water tap for drinking water.

Recycling

We have provided bins for recycling and ask that you use them accordingly. We actively encourage being plastic free and ask that you shop local at the butchers and greengrocers to avoid unnecessary plastic wrapping.

The Shed

Inside The Shed (a communal space) we have phone charging points for plugging in a USB, a fridge and a freezer. We also stock a few essential items in case you run out or have forgotten something as well as wood for the fire pit. These are all sold on an honesty basis with our bank details displayed on the board or a cash box.

Your Booking / Pitch info

Camping pitches are spacious and spread along the edge of the 9 acre meadow overlooking the surrounding farmland. They are mowed into the long meadow grass and surrounded by wildflowers which change throughout the season. Each pitch has a view of the sunset and we get some spectacular sunsets over the lavender farm.

Each pitch can accommodate one unit / family size tent. It is possible to add additional units / tents by booking another pitch. Some pitches are next door to each other so would be suitable for small groups.

The lower field (Smarts Field) has its own entrance and is perfect for a small group. If you wish to book the lower field you will need to book Lavender, Deer Leap and Barn Owl pitches to have this area exclusively. It is possible to add a 4th pitch in the lower field by booking any other available pitches and then letting us know via email so that you can be located in the lower field.

Campervans

Our site is suitable for small campervans and small motorhomes, we do not have a seperate area for campervans and therefore you have the same facilities as everyone else. Pitches are easily accessible with a VW size campervan or similar. Please select that you are a campervan when booking and if we think a more suitable pitch is available for you then we will get in touch and move you.

Dogs

We are a small site with farm animals and therefore do not allow dogs unless they are certified assistance dog's. If you wish to book with an assistance dog please contact us in advance of placing a booking.

Groups

We are a quiet, small and friendly site and for the enjoyment of others we do not accept groups of more than 4 units / tents. We do not accept hen or stag doos or parties under 18 without accompanying adults. Any Covid restrictions in force at the time of your stay will need to be adhered to.
